Nitrox, Inc. was founded by B. Evan McAllister in 1975 and incorporated in 1976. Mr. McAllister is currently President of the company and a Certified Respiratory Therapist.

Nitrox is a member of NFPA, a charter member of the Medical Gas Professional Healthcare Organization, and a P.I.P.E. credentialed Verifier and Medical Gas Inspector. The company has been involved in medical gas line verifications in Washington, Idaho, Oregon, Montana, and Alaska, and they continue to provide consulting services to every major mechanical engineering company in the Seattle area concerning medical gas installations for hospitals, surgery clinics, and dental offices.

Mr. McAllister is dedicated to medical gas education and has been teaching medical/dental nitrous oxide sedation for 25 years with faculty members from the University of Washington, Oregon Health and Science University, and the University of British Columbia.
